The Bradford Station Band was founded by leader Brad Henty in San Francisco in 1990 as a vehicle for his blues songwriting and guitar improvisation. The band quickly gathered attention in the Bay Area blues scene and won the South Bay Blues Awards “Best New Band.” The award show had them opening in a large theatre in San Jose for the likes of Albert Collins, Harvey Mandel, Buddy Miles, Lydia Pense, and a host of Bay Area stars.
